Barb & I arrived in London first. We had time for a nice breakfast before meeting my mom who was flying in from Canada. It was a bit odd to met up with Mom in London.
After picking up the rental car and such, we head to the northside of London to visit the deHavilland Aircrft Museum. They have a prototype Moquito, the only WW2 era fighter prototype surviving anywhere (and my favourite aircraft of WW2). They also had a couple Comets, a Vampire and a Chipmunk. One of the volunteers there had spend sometime in northern New South Wales after the war and knew of Goondiwindi.
Next was the small town of Saffron Walden. Histoically they grew, you guessed it, saffron. A local farm has recently started growing it again. Barb picked up a little container of it.
Finally we head off for Norwich where we were planning to stay for a few days.
